Founded in 1834 on the hill of l’Hermitage in Tain l’Hermitage, the Paul Jaboulet Aîné house oversees an exceptional heritage that brings together the most famous terroirs of the northern Rhone valley and produces quintessential great wines.

Since 1834, two families have succeeded one another in the service of the terroir. 
Paul Jaboulet Aîné regards the terroir and the vineyard with the utmost importance. Under the leadership of Caroline Frey, the vines have been certified organic since 2016 and cultivated with a regenerative approach.

Deep garnet-red colour. The nose is expressive and rich with aromas of ripe red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) combined with floral and spicy notes.

A subtle combination of the Rhône Valley’s iconic grape varieties unveils floral and fruit aromas, citrus notes, and a touch of exquisite freshness.
Grape varieties: 47% Viognier, 21% Grenache blanc, 18% Roussanne, 9% Clairette, 5 % Marsanne. 

Tasting Notes: 
The wine is limpid with bright, silvery highlights. The nose is discreet and subtle, with floral notes such as acacia and white-fleshed fruit.

Côtes du Rhône Parallèle 45 wines, both red and white, receive special attention from our teams. We work in partnership with producers renowned for their expertise and select wines that reflect the northern characteristics of the region, such as a high proportion of Syrah for the reds and a characteristic tension for the whites, with a strong presence of Viognier.

1 000 m2 in the heart of the clos Gounon supplies vegetables for Paul Jaboulet Aîné’s restaurant, the Vineum. The planted flowers, beyond their aesthetic appeal, play a crucial role in attracting beneficial wildlife and promote biodiversity. Additionally, we also cultivate plants used in our biodynamic preparations for the vine.
